Hobbit Technology at ICLR 2026

📍  Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
📅  April 23, 2026
🤝  In collaboration with students from the University of California, Berkeley

Our co-founder attended the 14th International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR 2026) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, one of the leading international conferences in deep learning and representation learning.

At the conference, he participated in research discussions on “The Serial Scaling Hypothesis,” a research work that studies the importance of sequential computation in machine learning. The work highlights that some challenging problems, such as reasoning, physical simulation, and sequential decision-making, may require computational steps that cannot be fully parallelized.

This experience reflects Hobbit Technology’s commitment to participating in frontier AI research and contributing knowledge that benefits the broader scientific community.

Gewertz AI Workshop 2 - Modern Natural Language Processing (NLP): From Fundamentals to Applications

📍  Chulalongkorn University
📅  January 17, 2026
🤝  In collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University

This workshop explores modern natural language processing from foundational concepts to advanced modeling techniques. Designed for students with prior exposure to machine learning, the program covers key ideas in text representation, including embeddings and sequence modeling, before progressing through recurrent architectures (RNN, LSTM, GRU) and Transformer-based models.

The workshop emphasizes both conceptual understanding and practical implementation. Through hands-on sessions in PyTorch, participants work on real-world tasks such as time-series analysis, text classification, and text generation, gaining experience in building and evaluating NLP systems.

Summer Internship Program 2025 – Machine Learning Engineer Internships

📍  Hobbit Technology
📅  June – August, 2025
🤝  Hosted by our team

Our 2025 Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to explore real-world applications of machine learning. Over the course of two months, selected interns take on individual, hands-on tasks that directly contribute to ongoing customer-facing projects.

Beyond the technical experience, interns gain valuable industry exposure through site visits and close collaboration with our engineering team—bridging classroom knowledge with practical deployment in real business environments.

Gewertz AI Workshop – Computer Vision Fundamentals Workshop

📍  Chulalongkorn University
📅  August 24, 2024
🤝  In collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University

This one-day workshop introduces undergraduate students at Chulalongkorn University to the fundamentals of AI in computer vision. Designed for beginners, it starts with core machine learning concepts, including regression and the basics of neural networks, before progressing to practical applications in computer vision.

Combining theory with hands-on coding, students apply AI techniques to real-world vision tasks through interactive exercises, gaining practical experience with modern computer vision models.
